Users with a premium Viva Engage license can access it now.
Viva Engage, the social network platform inside Microsoft Viva is getting the Copilot treatment, as the Redmond-based tech giant announced the Public Preview of the AI tool. The preview is available to all Viva users with a premium Viva Engage license.
The public preview of Copilot in Viva Engage is now available! If you are an individual team member, corporate communicator, or organizational leader, Copilot can help you engage with others at work in ways that create value for you and your organization.

Microsoft Viva already received a handful of AI capabilities in 2023, but many of them focused on the HR-oriented tasks. However, Copilot in Viva Engage will be capable of many things.
What can you do with Copilot in Viva Engage?
Copilot will personalize your feed with suggestions and ways to engage with your work colleagues, as the blog post states:
Copilot makes personalized suggestions about where to engage based on your activity and what is trending in your organization’s network.
Microsoft
This means Copilot will provide you with everything you need to be up to date with the rest of the Viva Engage community: summarising the community’s purpose and recent trending posts, suggesting and summarising Viva Engage campaigns, and suggesting and creating content ideas.
Speaking of creating content, the tool will also help users create text posts, and it will come with ideas whenever users need them. The tool will then write, edit, and leave feedback on the text, for users to implement.
Whether you’re starting from scratch or working from a draft, Copilot in Viva Engage can help you write, edit, get feedback on your post, and more. For users who are new to AI collaboration, suggested prompts provide examples of how to get the ball rolling with Copilot. These suggestions guide you to collaborate with Copilot in ways that are particularly useful to the task at hand –writing a post that is engaging and expresses what you’ve got to say.

Here are some examples of prompts users can type in:
• Brainstorm ideas for a post about…
• Give me a post template about…
• Rewrite my draft to be more concise.
• Make my draft more engaging.
• Read my draft and predict questions readers might have.
• Suggest how to increase authenticity.
• And more, including your own custom prompts!
It seems Microsoft Viva is getting a lot of love from Microsoft. Earlier this week, the roadmap for it revealed that the platform will also get code snippets, much to the delight of the software developers using the platform.
What do you think about these features coming to Microsoft Viva?
